Billie Eilish Pirate Braid O’Connell was born on 18th of Dec in Los Angeles US. She is a daughter of actress and teacher Maggie Baird and actor Patrick O’Connell. Billie is of Scottish and Irish descent. She was raised in Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Billie and her brother Finneas was home-schooled by Baird, they did this so that their children can pursue their interest and they can spend more time with them. The basis of songwriting was taught to her and her brother by Baird. Billie mentioned that her brother and mother inspired her to get into music.

Their parents encourage them to explore whatever they wanted to including art, acting and dancing. At the age of six Billie started playing Ukulele. When she was 11 she wrote her first song, the song was about zombie apocalypse which was inspired from a television series ‘The Walking Death’.

Billie took some acting classes too but she didn’t enjoy it. Later she joined dance classes but in 2016 due to her growth plate injury her dance career ended up.

In 2015 when Billie was 13 years old she began working on her song with her brother Finneas. The first song they recorded together was ” She’s Broken” and “Finger Crossed”. She recalled “We recorded them and put them out on SoundCloud, just for fun.”

In 2016 she worked for many like Apple Music and others which connected her to a luxury fashion brand Chanel and a stylist both of whom helped her shape her image. In 2015 she released her first song “Ocean Eyes” and that was the time she got famous and song received several hundred thousands listens in two weeks.
