The statement did not specify the place and reason for his death. However, all we know is that this spring, Mr. Buffett postponed several of his shows while claiming to have been hospitalized, though he provided no additional information.

He was also temporarily hospitalized in May after visiting the Bahamas, but he immediately announced that he was leaving the hospital and returning home. At that time, too, he did not reveal his illness, only that after he got home from the hospital, he planned to go fishing with old friends.
