Jason Bateman Career
Jason in 1980 gave his first appearance in cereal commercials and then his television career began with a show named Little House on the Prairie where he played the role of an orphanage boy named James Cooper who was adopted by the Ingalls family. Between 1982 and 1984 he worked as a supporting character on the television show Silver Spoons as Ricky Schroder. The same year he worked in Knight Rider’s third season episode. In the mid-1980s Jason earned the status of a teen idol. At the age of 18, he became the youngest-ever director. In 1987 he gained international recognition in the motion picture sequel Teen Wolf Too. In 1994 he worked in the film This Can’t Be Love. He also directed an episode of Two of a Kind in 1999.
In 2002 he played the role of sibling of Thomas Jane in the feature film The Sweetest Thing. In 2003 he was cast as Michael Blunt in the comedy series Arrested Development. Between 2004 and 2005 he performed commentary and hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live. In 2006 he appeared as a guest star on the Scrubs episode “My Big Bird”. Bateman became a regular voice actor for the Fox comedy series “Sit Down, Shut up” in 2009. In 2010, Bateman and Will Arnett created a production company named “DumbDumb Productions” focusing on digital content. In 2012, Jason returned to his role as Michael Blunt.

Jason married actress Amanda Anka who is the daughter of singer Paul Anka on July 3, 2001. They have two daughters who were born in 2006 and 2012. Throughout the journey of 1999, Jason struggled with an addiction to alcohol and drugs.
In one of his interviews Jason mentioned,” I’d worked so hard that by the time I was 20, I wanted to play hard. And I did that well…it was like Risky business for ten years.”
